Police investigate after Belton home is hit with bullets in drive-by shooting Sunday

Belton police were investigating a drive-by shooting after someone in a vehicle fired gunshots at a home Sunday morning.

The gunfire was reported about 7:25 a.m. at a home on Westover Circle, according to the Belton Police Department.

A black, mid-size import sedan had been driving southbound on Westover Road when it pulled onto Westover Circle and someone inside the vehicle fired a gun at a home. The vehicle then left the area heading southbound on Westover toward Missouri 58 highway, police said.

Arriving officers found the home had been hit by several bullets but no one was injured.

Police asked anyone with information to call 816-331-1500 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
