KCPD releases name of homicide victim; 3 suspects in custody
Kansas City Police released the name of a 22-year-old man who was found slain at an apartment complex in southeast Kansas City.
Andre Tolan was found dead by police in front of East Hills Village Apartments in the 7600 block of Monroe Avenue around 6 p.m. on Thursday.
On Friday, police said they had three suspects in custody.
About an hour before police responded to the Monroe Avenue shooting on Thursday, officers were summoned to a triple-shooting at 56th Street and Wabash Avenue. There, police found three people, including a child, who had been shot. Those victims had non life-threatening injuries. Officers believe the incidents were unrelated.
Another person was killed Thursday morning near 83rd Street and The Paseo when a homeowner shot and killed a person outside his home. That victim has not been identified.
