Drive-by shooting at Lee’s Summit home Sunday morning is investigated by police

A drive-by shooting early Sunday morning in Lee’s Summit damaged a home and some vehicles but did not injure anyone, according to police.

The shooting was reported about 3 a.m. at a home in the 700 block of SE 11th Street, according to the Lee’s Summit Police Department.

Arriving officers spoke with residents at the home who said shots were fired from a passing vehicle. The bullets hit vehicles in the driveway and the garage door of the home.

The residents told officers the shooting could have been related to previous disturbance.

No injuries were reported. Detectives took several surveillance videos from cameras in the area, police said.

The investigation continued.
