Suspect in triple homicide in Kansas City, Kansas, taken into custody, police say

A suspect in a triple homicide that left a woman and two children dead in Kansas City, Kansas, has been taken into custody.

Charges are pending a review by the Wyandotte County District Attorney’s Office, the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s chief said on social media.

Firefighters responded to a blaze about 4:35 a.m. Monday at a home near North Mill Street and Ridge Avenue, which is just north of Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas.

While searching the home, fire crews found the bodies of three victims, according to a news release from the Kansas City, Kansas, Fire Department.

Police said the preliminary investigation revealed that the woman and two children were victims of a homicide.
