Woman hit by vehicle in Olathe during armed disturbance where gunshots were fired

A woman was hit by a vehicle during a disturbance that included reports of gunfire Sunday evening in Olathe, according to police.

Officers responded about 8:25 p.m. Sunday to the 300 block of West Prairie Street, which is near Fairview Park in Olathe, to investigate reports of gunfire, the Olathe Police Department said in a statement.

Arriving officers found several people who had been involved in a disturbance where shots reportedly had been fired. Officers also found a woman who reportedly had been struck by a vehicle.

No one had been hit by gunfire. The woman was injured.

Police soon found the driver and passengers in the vehicle. Police determined that they knew the others involved in the disturbance.
