A 29-year-old Olathe man was killed in a two-car crash on Interstate 35 in Johnson County Monday, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Troopers responded to the crash around 11:30 a.m. near milepost 220, just south of 119th Street, according to a crash log.

A Cadillac DTS drove south on I-35 when it struck the rear of a Toyota Camry, the crash log said. The Cadillac then bounced off the Camry and hit the outside barrier wall.

The Cadillac continued driving down the shoulder of the road and hit the barrier wall again before leaving the road. It traveled through a grassy area and over a hill, becoming airborne and rolled, coming to rest on its roof.

Troopers identified the Cadillac driver as Isaiah M. Foster, 29, of Olathe.

Foster died from his injuries and was taken to the Johnson County Medical Examiner’s Office.

The Camry driver, a 40-year-old Blue Springs man, suffered minor injuries, according to the highway patrol.

An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
