Man found dead in KCK’s Argentine neighborhood. Homicide investigation launched

Police were investigating a homicide Tuesday after a man was found dead in the street of a neighborhood in the Argentine community of Kansas City, Kansas, a police spokesperson said.

At about 5:05 a.m. Tuesday, officers responded to a report of a body in the road in the 2200 block of Normandy Lane, said Officer Carlos Ulloa of the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

There, officers found the body of a man. They also took a person into custody, Ulloa said.

Details of how the man was killed and what led up to the homicide were not released. The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s major case unit is investigating the man’s death.

The killing is the city’s 10th homicide of the year, according to data tracked by The Star. That compares to 11 homicides by this time last year.
