Do you have the cutest dog in Kansas City? Enter them in our new contest now
When you look at your pup's face, do you just melt inside?
If so, you can see if the rest of Kansas City agrees. For the second year in a row, The Star is searching for the cutest pooch in the metro. You can submit a photo of your dog to our new poll now.
Only the first 50 submissions will move to our voting round, so don’t wait to submit!
If you have a multi-dog household, we kindly ask that you only submit a photo of one of your dogs, so we can showcase a variety of pups from around the metro. (We’re also looking for cats if you want to submit here.)
Submissions will be accepted through Thursday, Oct. 16, at 11:59 p.m.
How it works
The first 50 dogs we receive will then be voted on by the public in two rounds of voting. Voting will be open to all readers.
On Monday, Oct. 20, we will begin round one of voting to find the final 10 contenders. Votes will reset after each round and voting will conclude at 11:59 p.m. on the following Wednesday. After that, there will be a final vote, and the winner will be announced on kansascity.com.
But that’s not all. New for 2025, the winner of that competition will then be entered in a national competition against the winners of voting at more than McClatchy papers across the country, in a competition launching Thursday, Nov. 10.
Now, it’s time to find KC’s cutest dog!
