A pup who has been waiting for a comfy home for a long time in the Cornhusker State is still waiting patiently for someone to notice her.

Meet Judy, a sweet girl who wants nothing more than some love and snacks, and while she gets both in shelters, she needs stability and a special human of her own.

“Judy has now been in our care for 300 days,” the Nebraska Humane Society in Omaha said in a Sept. 17 Facebook post.

“Before she came to us, she was at another shelter for 20 months. That means Judy has spent two and a half years waiting for her happily ever after — over a third of her life.”

The 6-year-old boxer mix is in foster care, where she’s getting the princess treatment.

“Judy would love a calm, cozy home with plenty of snacks and soft blankets. She’s always down for a nice leisurely stroll or a cuddle on the couch. She’s undemanding, unassuming, and unbelievably sweet,” her foster mom tells the shelter. “Judy is still pretty wary of strangers, but she’s getting there! Snacks are a surefire way to gain her trust, and once she’s warmed up to you, she’s all in.”

Pretty much any snack will suffice — except for blueberries.

“Blueberries are the bane of her existence,” the shelter says.

Other notable things about Judy, per her foster mom, include:

  • When she’s happy, it’s wiggle and tippy tap city
  • Loves car rides
  • Quick learner
  • Potty trained
  • Kennel trained
  • Not a cat pup
  • Not another female dog pup
  • Does OK with kids and male dogs

All her adopters really need to know is that snacks will earn a lifetime of love in Judy’s eyes. Just be sure to keep blueberries as far away from her as possible.
