The lawn of the National WWI Museum and Memorial became the Pink Pony Club Friday night when tens of thousands of Chappell Roan fans gathered on an unseasonably warm October night to watch the Missouri native perform her hits. Friday’s show was one of two she will perform this weekend in Kansas City. Roan’s next show is slated for Saturday night.
A troupe of drag performers opened the show. They were followed by the indie pop band Japanese Breakfast. Headliner Chappell Roan came on around 9 p.m. and wowed the crowd with her eclectic costume changes and a catalog of mega hits.
Here are photos from the concert.
