A sea of pink with waves of frilly fabric rolled into Kansas City Friday afternoon. Fans decked out in style of their idol Chappell Roan crowded in to be some of the first to get onto the National WWI Museum and Memorial grounds to see the first of the pop superstar’s two concerts there.
Roan, a Missouri native, is visiting only three cities in the U.S. on her Visions of Damsels and Other Dangerous Things pop up tour. Kansas City is one stop. The tour opened in Forest Hills, New York, and will be in Pasadena, California, next. Her second Kansas City show will be on Saturday at the same venue.
