A European-based food waste reduction app operating in Kansas City allows customers to buy leftover food as takeout from their favorite local restaurants for a fraction of the price.

Too Good To Go allows consumers to buy items from businesses that would be otherwise thrown out; reducing food waste and giving local businesses extra revenue.

Founded in Copenhagen in 2016, Too Good To Go has 175,000 business partners in 19 different countries. According to the company, the app has helped them serve over 400 million meals to 100 million registered users.

Pick-up time ranges are posted with each establishment and they provide the ability to pick up the next day. Several were already sold out by 1 p.m. Thursday, but other restaurants open up their surplus shop in the evening.

Good deals on the app
