Taylor Swift fans today are reminiscing about the moment, one year ago today, that Travis Kelce swept Swift off her feet on stage during her first set of Eras Tour shows in London.

“It may be the 23rd of June but it will never be THAT 23rd of JUNE where Travis came on stage,’ one fan gushed on TikTok Monday.

Kelce shocked the Wembley Stadium crowd when, on June 23, 2024, he suddenly appeared on stage in tuxedo and top hat to join his girlfriend for her costume change during the transition between “The Smallest Man that Ever Lived” and “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.”

During the comedic bit the Kansas City Chiefs tight end did a bit of choreography — even clicking his heels in the air. He carried Swift to a red velvet couch and helped her touch up her makeup,

Nearly 90,000 fans erupted into cheers. Kelce would later describe the moment as “the most shocking” he’s ever experienced on a stage.

“It’s a love story!” Vogue magazine declared in its account of the night.

Surely you remember this.

It was his idea to join her on stage, Kelce revealed later, noting that he had to remind himself: Don’t drop her.

Swifties are celebrating the one-year anniversary today by posting memories of the moment.

@japandasam One year ago today, Travis Kelce made his Eras Tour debut—and pop culture history—when he stepped onto the stage at Wembley Stadium in front of 90,000 fans. Dressed in a tuxedo and top hat, he joined Taylor Swift during her performance of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” lifting her bridal-style and gently placing her on a red velvet couch before dusting her face with a powder puff. It was theatrical, unexpected, and completely unforgettable. But it wasn’t just a cameo. It was a moment that symbolized how far their relationship had come—from a friendship bracelet at Arrowhead to a full-blown stage moment in London. Travis didn’t just support Taylor from the VIP tent that night—he became part of her world, her art, her story. And the crowd? Absolutely lost it. That performance marked a turning point. It was the night the NFL’s most charismatic tight end became an honorary Eras Tour cast member. It was also the night fans saw, in real time, the joy and trust between two people who had become each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Since then, their love story has continued to unfold in stadiums, on red carpets, and in quiet moments caught by eagle-eyed fans. But this moment—June 23, 2024—remains iconic. A year later, it still feels like magic! Also on Monday, Swift dancer and UMKC grad Kameron Saunders, who was in the skit, posted on Instagram an AI image of Swift and Kelce together on stage. It was created earlier this month by Sports But Make It Pixar.

Those first three nights of the show in London — Swift returned to Wembley in August — were arguably the most glittery of the entire tour, when it came to VIP attendance.

Prince William spent his 42nd birthday at a show with his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, in a balcony suite, dancing like the commoners, er, Swifties, to “Shake It Off.”

Fans considered the selfie that Swiftie posted with the royal family, Kelce too, a hard launch of their relationship.

Tom Cruise, Ashton Kutcher, Mila Kunis, Liam Hemsworth, Rachel Zegler, Hugh Grant and director Greta Gerwig attended the second night at Wembley.

Paul McCartney — who danced to “But Daddy I Love Him” and collected frienship bracelets — Cate Blanchett and Phoebe Waller-Bridge were there the night Kelce performed.

“I’ll never forget being on a stage in front of what felt like a million people,” Kelce told his brother, Jason Kelce, during a May episode of their “New Heights” podcast.

That was his response when Jason asked him if “love” had brought him to London.

“I’ve been on a few stages in my life, that one was definitely the most shocking,” Kelce told Westwood One’s Laura Okmin in February.

“I felt like an ant in a whole new world. That stadium, the lights, the crowd and how they went insane. And the whole time, I’m thinking here, ‘Oh snap, I have a job to do. I gotta lock in. And I gotta make this fun, I gotta make this entertaining.’

“Tay gave me the opportunity to go up there and have some fun, why not show her how much fun we really can have up there?

“Sure enough, the crowd was off their rocker. It was insane in there for a quite a while, and a memory I’ll never forget, for sure.”

And likely, neither will Swift herself, who mentioned Kelce’s cameo in an Instagram post about the Wembley concerts.

“Looking out into crowds of 90,000 fans each night and hearing that VOLUME… Those were some of the loudest crowds I’ve ever heard. Acoustic sections went OFF,” she wrote.

“And I’m still cracking up/swooning over @killatrav’s Eras Tour debut Never going to forget these shows.”
