Man found dead in car at park in Kansas City, Kansas, deputies say

A man was found dead in a car at a park in Kansas City, Kansas, Saturday night, according to police.

Wyandotte County sheriff’s deputies responded to Klamm Park around 11:30 to perform checks on at least one vehicle, the sheriff’s office said in a Monday news release. They found an unresponsive man, later identified as Jacob Dupre, 40, in a parked car.

Emergency medical responders came to the park and declared Dupre deceased, the sheriff’s office said. Dupre’s family has been contacted, and a death investigation is underway. His death is not being investigated as a homicide, deputies said.
