See romantic way Patrick and Brittany Mahomes celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary
Traditional must have been the theme for Patrick and Brittany Mahomes’ romantic anniversary dinner this week because it ticked all the romance boxes.
Candles. Check.
Flower petals on the floor. Check.
Chocolate-covered strawberries. Check.
The couple shared photos of their intimate dinner on their social media accounts Wednesday.
The meal-for-two appears to have taken place in the darkened private dining room of a restaurant, undisclosed, of course.
In one photo Patrick is walking up to the table, set for two. White rose petals are scattered on the floor. Floating white candles in glass cylinders stand on the floor and on the table, which is also decorated with bridal-white roses.
Patrick posted a photo of Brittany sitting at the table with a big smile and a signature cocktail in her hand. A close-up of the drink shows that it was decorated with a pansy on a skewer.
Another photo reveals that the undisclosed dinner — there are chopsticks at each place setting — had a customized menu.
White roses seem to be Patrick’s flower of choice when celebrating his wife, his high school sweetheart who is now a co-owner of the KC Current women’s soccer team.
Last year Brittany shared photos of a bouquet of white roses Patrick gave her on their anniversary, along with a plate of macaroons.
According to the time-honored recommendations for wedding anniversary gifts, the traditional token for the third year is leather; the more modern gift for this anniversary is crystal or glass.
The Mahomeses got married March 12, 2022 in a luxurious wedding in Hawaii.
A flashback: Travis Kelce was a groomsman and many other Chiefs players attended, the bride wore custom Versace and the groom wore Christian Louboutin loafers.
The groom’s cake was a 3D replica of Patrick wearing Louis Vuitton shorts on a patch of green icing grass, holding a golf club, a football at his feet.
And Patrick’s Overland Park barber, DeJuan Bonds, cut his hair for the big day.
The Mahomeses mark their third anniversary just a couple of months after having their third child. Golden Raye Mahomes was born in January, joining big sister Sterling Skye, 3, and brother Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III, 2, at home.
