One dead in officer-involved shooting in Northland Thursday night

At least one person was killed in an officer-involved shooting Thursday night in Kansas City’s Northland, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The shooting took place in the 7000 block of Robinhood Lane, according to the MSHP. It was not known as of 10:45 p.m. Thursday how many people were involved in the shooting, or whether anyone else was injured or killed.

The Kansas City Police Department requested that the highway patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control investigate the shooting, according to the MSHP.

DDCC officers responded to the shooting around 9:30 p.m.
