A lot has changed in the private lives of the Royals since they played their last Major League Baseball game in October.

One KC player is about to become a father for the second time in just a matter of days (the Royals play their first Cactus League spring training game on Friday against the Texas Rangers). At least four other players are newly married, and two are newly engaged.

In their downtime they threw “baby’s first birthday” parties.

Here’s a look at what some of the players on the Royals’ spring training roster did in the offseason:

Hunter Renfroe

The outfielder and his wife, Courtney, are expecting their second baby very — and we mean very — soon.

Courtney was celebrated at a baby shower in January.

Getting to share this pregnancy with my sister has been the sweetest season we have been through together and each expecting the opposite gender has been even sweeter,” Courtney wrote on her Instagram.

“Dustin Hunter Renfroe Jr, you are SO loved and were so well celebrated by family and friends. We cannot wait to meet you so soon. Our hearts are so full!”

Renfroe told The Star the baby is due Tuesday.

Michael Lorenzen

The pitcher and his wife, Cassi, recently had their second baby. He posted a photo of his newborn son to Instagram in January.

“Blessed to welcome this little (giant) guy into the world! Thank you God,” Lorenzen wrote.

John Rave

The minor-league outfielder got married Nov. 16 in Aurora, Illinois.

“It’s crazy to think that a simple DM six years ago led us to this day,” his new bride, Amy, says in a video posted to the ballplayer’s Instagram. “I remember thinking you were different from most guys but I had to play it cool with you. And I guess you could say it worked.”

Bobby Witt Jr.

The star shortstop’s wife, Maggie — one of the most prolific Royals wives on social media — shared photos of the couple’s beach honeymoon on her Instagram last month.

They were married in December in Dallas, where they hosted an after-party with a Whataburger theme. Witt is a brand ambassador for the burger chain.

Royals teammates Michael Massey and Alec Marsh also got married in the offseason.

Earlier this month, Jane Massey posted a video of their Nov. 23 wedding to her Instagram.

Drew Waters

The outfielder’s fiance, Victoria Pugh, posted engagement photos on her Instagram in November.

According to their gift registry, they’re getting married after the 2025 season, on Nov. 15 in Atlanta.

Will these two dog lovers have their pups in the wedding?

Chandler Champlain

The right-handed pitcher got down on one knee on a San Diego beach in November and proposed to his girlfriend, Jylian Graham. He posted photos of the life-changing moment to his Instagram.

Jonathan India

The newly signed second baseman and his wife, Daniella, celebrated their daughter Adalina’s first Christmas in December and first birthday in January. India recently joined the Royals via a trade from the Cincinnati Reds.

Nick Loftin

The infielder’s son, Liam James, turned 1 in January. The family celebrated with a birthday party with a “Wild One” theme, Loftin told The Star.

“My sweet angel baby is ONE love that you are your daddy’s twin,” Loftin’s wife Taylor wrote on Instagram.

“I love how every time I say ‘mama,’ you say ‘dada.’ I love watching you throw the ball to your doggies. I love seeing you dance to any song that comes on. I love that you smile at every person you meet. I love that you splash so hard in the bath there is water everywhere ...

“This has been the most magical year and being your mom is truly the best gift I’ve ever been given. I love every ounce of you.”
