The first group of tickets go on sale Tuesday for the 16th annual Big Slick Celebrity Weekend, the star-studded fundraiser for pediatric cancer research at Children’s Mercy Kansas City.

Kansas City’s homegrown squad of A-listers — Heidi Gardner, Rob Riggle, Paul Rudd, Jason Sudeikis, David Koechner and Eric Stonestreet — host the event and bring lots of celebrity friends with them.

Kansas City Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have also appeared at the party and main event at the T-Mobile Center in recent years.

This year’s two-day event takes places May 30-31.

Since its first year in 2010 as a celebrity poker tournament and party, Big Slick has raised more than $25 million for the hospital and the children it serves.

The event now involves two core events:

The Big Slick Celebrity Classic game will take place on the main field at Kauffman Stadium on Friday, May 30, before the Royals play the Detroit Tigers. Everyone with a Royals ticket can watch the softball game.

The Big Slick Party & Show, the weekend’s main event, is Saturday, May 31, at T-Mobile Center. The evening is always raucous, with musical performances, skits, stand-up comedy and an auction for big-ticket items.

Beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Big Slick insiders/email subscribers — sign up at bigslickkc.org — can buy presale tickets for the June 1 show and shop a limited number of VIP, meet-and-greet tickets. Subscribers will receive purchasing instructions via email.

Tickets are $75-$150 for standard lower level and $375 for upgraded seats and an open bar.

Tickets to the general public go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday at bigslickkc.org or T-MobileCenter.com.

Select VIP tickets will also be available, including $1,000 Hall of Fame Suite tickets and $1,500 Dugout Suite tickets for the softball game and $2,000 VIP Pre-Party access and upgraded seating tickets for the show at T-Mobile.

And, for $5,000 per person, you can schmooze with Big Slick celebrities at a cocktail party, hosted at a private residence, on Thursday, May 29.
