Some school districts in the Kansas City area have canceled class or announced a delayed start Thursday because of icy road conditions in the aftermath of Wednesday’s snowfall.

By 6 p.m., 2.3 inches of snow had accumulated at Kansas City International Airport, according to the National Weather Service. The NWS said Wednesday night that road conditions across the state are improving, but this could change quickly as temperatures drop again overnight.

Here is a list of schools that have canceled class or announced virtual learning, or delayed starts because of the weather. The Star will update this list throughout the morning.
