Elderly man who went missing from Grandview is found safe, police say

A man who went missing from Grandview early Friday morning has been found safe, police said.

Walter Aldridge, 77, was found around 10:30 a.m. Friday after having gone missing just after midnight from the 1000 block of Main Street in Grandview, according to a news release from Grandview police.

Aldridge is 6 feet 1 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds. He has salt-and-pepper hair and hazel eyes, the release said. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and a black winter cap with ear flaps.

Aldridge has a medical condition which had put him at risk, the release said. Officers were with him just before 11 a.m. Friday, said Capt. Ryan Sharp, a spokesman for the Grandview Police Department.
