Country with some hip-hop mixed in describes Kansas City’s music tastes for 2024, according to recent data. See how your most-played songs compare to the rest of the city.

On Wednesday, Dec. 4, streaming service Spotify released their compilation of the most-listened to songs for the 10th year in a row, called Spotify Wrapped. For 2024, the company shared the most played songs in 20 American cities, including Kansas City.

Three of Kansas City’s top five are country songs, with a viral ballad and a diss track rounding out the list. Some of the musicians performed in Kansas City in 2024, like Morgan Wallen and Shaboozey, while one will soon come to Missouri: Post Malone is set to perform near Branson in June.

Despite cracking the top 10 most-played songs in the country, Missouri’s own Midwest Princess Chappell Roan did not make Kansas City’s top five.
