Update: Arrowhead Stadium officials issued a warning Thursday on social media that fans coming on either day should be prepared for extreme heat. Read more here.

GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium got its first taste of 2024 country concerts with superstar Kenny Chesney in July. Now, one of the genre’s rising stars is heading to Kansas City for two packed shows.

Country singer Morgan Wallen brings his One Night At A Time tour to Kansas City on Thursday and Friday. He was originally scheduled to only perform Thursday but added the second date in September after demand for his show exceeded expectations. Joining him at the KC concerts are singers Lainey Wilson, Nate Smith and Ella Langley.

A Tennessee-based artist, Wallen was first noticed on NBC’s reality singing competition, “The Voice,” in 2014. He had an early hit with “Whiskey Glasses” in 2018 before reaching stardom with the release of 2021’s “Dangerous: The Double Album.”

The 31-year-old hasn’t gone without controversy. TMZ released a video of Wallen saying racial slurs to his friends in February 2021, which led to music streaming services removing his songs from playlists and his recording label temporarily suspending his contract.

This year, the singer was also arrested in Nashville in February after allegedly throwing a chair off the roof of a bar. He was charged with three felony counts of reckless endangerment and one misdemeanor count of disorderly conduct after the chair landed near two police officers on the ground.

But he’s still popular following the release of his 2023 album “One Thing At A Time.” His fans appear to include Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, who was spotted at Wallen’s concert in London earlier this month.

If you’re headed to Arrowhead Stadium to watch Wallen perform or thinking about buying last-minute tickets, here’s what you need to know.
