We’ve got our top 10, but we’re not done yet.
The Star is looking for the cutest dog in the Kansas City area, and after 50 submissions and two rounds of voting, it’s time for the semifinals. From the final 10, we’ll get down to a top four, then choose the No. 1 best boy or girl.
Among the contenders, we’ve got nine different breeds, including two Corgis and several mixed breeds. They range from 10 weeks old (at the time of submission) to 7 years. In addition to the adorable photos, their owners shared many tidbits with us, including:
- “Bucky is a 5 year old cavalier spaniel / poodle mix who loves snuggling with his family!”
“Tucker is a sassy 5 year old 12 lb Shih-Poo with black and white hair.”
“Lucy is the sweetest rescue pitbull mix and always the happiest, most loving girl!”
Murphy is a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen/Terrier/angel boy mix.”
Voting for the semifinals begins Monday, Sept. 30, and goes through Sunday, Oct. 6, at 11:59 p.m.
The winner will be featured in their own story on The Star’s website and in the newspaper.
