Who is the cutest dog in the Kansas City area? It’s finally time to pick a winner
All right, Kansas City, it’s time — time to choose the metro area’s cutest dog, once and for all.
This September and October, we’ve narrowed down the contenders from 50 dogs to a final four. They’re all good boys and girls, but only one can win.
The finalists are:
- Bowen, a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. His owner, Michael Carrillo, said Bowen “knows with his cuteness he can get away with murder” and is “the loudest corgi you’ll ever meet!”
- Sophie, a 7-year-old chichi mix. Her owner, Eileen Boster, shared a little of Sophie’s story: “I adopted (her) from KCPP to help with my grief over my brother’s death from cancer. She now works for Crossroads Hospice and currently has 6 patients she visits. She has a lot of love to give.”
Lucy, described as “the sweetest rescue pitbull mix and always the happiest, most loving girl!” by her owner, Sarah Newton.
Murphy, a mixed breed dog whom his owner, Sammy DeBauche, sums up as “a Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen/Terrier/Angel boy mix.”
This final round of voting will go from Tuesday, Oct. 8, through Sunday, Oct. 13, at 11:59 p.m.
The winner will be photographed and featured in a Star story the week of Oct. 14.
Remember: The poll isn’t scientific, just for fun!
