Snake boots! Did Brittany Mahomes reveal a Taylor Swift clue at Kelly Clarkson taping?
So does Taylor Swift’s new NFL bestie, Brittany Mahomes, know something the rest of us don’t about the release of “Reputation (Taylor’s Version)“?
Mahomes taped a rare TV appearance on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” Wednesday dressed with full-on “Reputation” attitude: head-to-toe black with crystal “snakes” wrapped around her stiletto ankle boots.
Black. Snakes. “Reputation” symbols. Swifties get it.
Mahomes is in on something, right? The two women have spent a bit of time together since Swift began dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce last year.
Mahomes is married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and is also co-owner of the Kansas City Current women’s soccer team.
On Tuesday night she joined Swift and two of the singer’s longtime friends — model Cara Delevigne and Nashville designer Ashley Avignone — at a sushi restaurant in New York City.
Headlines about the outing screamed that the women, each dressed in black, “gave off big Reputation energy.”
Then Mahomes wore black and $1,700 snake boots for Wednesday’s show taping at NBC’s 30 Rock (30 Rockefeller Plaza).
Made by Italian designer Rene Caovilla, the Strass Snake Ankle Boots are a pull-on style, crafted of kid suede with dagger-pointy toes and four-inch embellished stiletto heels..

Mahomes took her Kansas City glam squad to New York. She tagged the team on Instagram: hair by @LauraBethArtistry owned by Laurabeth Cabott, and makeup by RPArtistry KC.
The team posted photos from the trip on Instagram. The view from a hotel room in Times Square. The party bus ride Wednesday night.
But alas for ‘N Sync fans, no photos of Justin Timberlake.
According to audience members who posted on social media, Timberlake taped a segment of the show Wednesday morning. Clarkson tapes in the morning and afternoon. It’s not clear when Mahomes’ segment taped.
It’s also not known what she and Clarkson talked about, though online scuttle suggests the KC Current came up.
Mahomes’ segment is scheduled to air Friday, according to Clarkson’s social media posts.
In Kansas City, “The Kelly Clarkson Show” airs at 3 p.m. weekdays on KMBC.
