Will Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have a KC Thanksgiving together? Here’s what we know
Update: The parents of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are expected to meet for the first time at the “Monday Night Football” game in Kansas City next week, ET reported Wednesday. Read our story here.
Taylor Swift performs a concert in São Paulo, Brazil, the day after Thanksgiving. Yet entertainment outlets report that the “Karma is a guy on the Chiefs” singer plans to be closer to home for the holiday in between her Eras Tour shows in South America.
We suspect she’s more interested in Travis than turkey this year.
Page Six reports that Swift will fly back to the States after her concert in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday. That will give her four days to enjoy Thanksgiving before performing again. She has December and January off before hitting the road again.
“They are hoping they will make time for each other during the holidays in December,” a source tells The Messenger news outlet. “They have talked about holiday plans and how everything will work during their busy season.
“Travis and Taylor have plans in December to be with each other’s families for the holidays.”
But there’s no word yet on exactly how new boyfriend Travis Kelce fits into those plans. It’s also not clear where Swift might spend Thanksgiving. Her home In New York City? His home in Kansas City?
What is clear is that even though she has a few days off next week, his schedule is packed.
With two games, multiple days of practice and a trip to Vegas during Thanksgiving week, it will be difficult for Kelce to find the time to make a trip to New York City, if that’s where Swift spends the holiday.
The Chiefs play the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium in a rematch of Super Bowl LVII.
There are rumblings that Swift will stop in Kansas City to watch the game when she returns from Brazil, a little payback for Kelce flying to Argentina to catch her Saturday show there in the company of her father, Scott Swift.
(Papa Swift is a longtime Eagles fan, so it’s not too much of a stretch to imagine him showing up at Arrowhead, too, along with Kelce’s parents, who will be watching both Travis and his big brother, Eagles center Jason Kelce.)
Should that happen, she also could stick around for a few days since the Chiefs players will have Tuesday off. That would allow one of the world’s most famous couples to celebrate Thanksgiving a couple days early.
Six days after the Monday night game, the Chiefs play the Raiders in Las Vegas on Nov. 26.
That means Kelce will practice on Thanksgiving Day as the Chiefs prepare to face their AFC West rival.
Yep, even if a team doesn’t play on Turkey Day, NFL players usually wind up practicing then. That means Kelce will be in Kansas City on the holiday.
Then the Chiefs fly to Nevada on Saturday, Nov. 25.
The tight end’s Christmas Day is already spoken for — the Chiefs play the Raiders at Arrowhead in a noon game. He’s busy on New Year’s Eve, too, when the Chiefs play here at home against the Cincinnati Bengals.
But that game starts at 3:25 p.m., leaving plenty of time for a replay at midnight of that dramatic kiss the two shared in Argentina on Saturday
