An Olathe man was seriously injured following a two-vehicle crash Friday night in Kansas City, Kansas.

Troopers responded around 7:23 p.m. to southbound Interstate 435 over Interstate 70, according to a crash log from the Kansas Highway Patrol.

James Sanderson, 68, was driving a 2015 Ford Edge on I-435 when the vehicle went off the road and hit a barrier wall.

When Sanderson’s vehicle reentered the roadway, it struck a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The impact pushed Sanderson’s vehicle off the embankment, causing it to hit a tree and flip over.

Sanderson was seriously injured in the crash. The Jeep’s driver didn’t report any injuries.
