With each spring comes the farmers markets, as vendors across Kansas City prepare to share their bouquets and produce with you.
Take a look at what’s open and what’s on the way for markets across the metro.
OPEN IN APRIL OR EARLIER
Brookside Farmers Market: It’s open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at HJ’s Community Center year-round, moving indoors in the colder months. You can find the list of what vendors will be available here.
Overland Park Farmers Market: It’s open from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. To find parking, check out this map, and you can view who’s selling what items here.
Baldwin City Farmers Market: It’s open from 7:30 a.m. to noon every Saturday from April until October. Get your baked goods, herbs, jams and other necessities here.
City Market: It’s open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Sunday from April to October. Here’s the map to parking in the River Market
Lee’s Summit Farmers Market: It’s open from 8 a.m. to noon every Wednesday and Saturday from April to mid-November. Featuring over 50 vendors, you’ll find something you’ve been wanting. The parking map is here, as are Wednesday’s and Saturday’s layouts.
Lenexa Farmers Market: Open from 8 a.m. to noon every Saturday starting at the end of April until the end of October, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Tuesday starting at the end of May until the end of August, you’ll find fresh produce and more on the ground floor of Lenexa’s city center parking garage.
OPEN IN MAY OR JUNE
Blue Springs Farmers Market: Opening on the first weekend of May and running until the end of October, you can find this market in the heart of downtown Blue Springs. It’ll be open from 7 a.m. to noon every Saturday.
Merriam Farmers Market: You’ll soon find a market filled with local produce and other goods in downtown Merriam. It’ll be open from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. in May through September.
KCK Farmers Market: Open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Saturday in downtown KCK starting in June.
