Hot and humid weather expected to continue in Kansas City for the rest of August

It will certainly feel like August in Kansas City for the next several days, as the weather will continue to be hot and humid, according to FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee.

“So stay cool if you are going to be outdoors today and pretty much over the next four days, we are really warming up,” said Countee, who provides a weather update to The Star.

The morning temperatures are expected to be around 70 degrees for most of the week.

“You’ll notice that we are pretty dry with those lows on the humid side,” Countee said.

Starting on Thursday and into the weekend, moisture from Tropical Storm Laura in the Gulf of Mexico could bring clouds and possible rain and thunderstorms to the Kansas City area.

“We will be watching out for that,” he said.

Cooler temperatures and conditions could arrive by the weekend as severe weather conditions in the southern regions of the United States continue over the next several days.
