Highs in the 90s sticking around for several days in Kansas City
Highs will hit the 90s for the next several days in Kansas City, according to FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee.
“It will be pretty warm all across Kansas City as we get back to 90 degrees by (Saturday) afternoon,” said Countee, who provided a weather update to The Star. “We’re going to have a nice little breeze coming out of the south and the southwest.”
Saturday night the temperature will drop down to about 70. Early Sunday, there will be a slight chance for showers in northern Missouri, but those will break down by 7 a.m.
“We’ve been so dry over the last several days,” Countee said.
“It’s staying hot for the second half of the weekend and even pushing forward into the Monday and Tuesday time frame.”
Cloudier skies are expected later in the week and a chance for rainfall arrives on Thursday and Friday.
“What’s left of (Tropical Storm) Laura may be getting close enough to Missouri to where we see some additional rain chances,” Countee said. “We’ll be watching that very closely over the next several days.”
