Police: SUV fled the scene after hitting, killing pedestrian on The Paseo Saturday
A pedestrian was struck and killed by an SUV which fled the scene on The Paseo near 75th Street Saturday morning, police said.
Around 4 a.m., police said, the SUV hit a pedestrian who was standing next to their car which they had stopped in southbound lane of The Paseo near 75th Street, Kansas City Police Department spokesman Captain David Jackson said in an email.
The suspect vehicle, Jackson said, was described as an SUV which left the scene of the accident. No further information about the suspect is available, Jackson said.
The victim’s name has not yet been released.
