One dead in fatal single vehicle crash on I-70 exit in Independence
One person is dead after a single car wreck on Interstate 70 in Independence early Saturday morning, police said.
A Kia Rio left the roadway and hit a utility box around 3 a.m. on the eastbound I-70 exit ramp to Little Blue Parkway, according to a news release from the Independence Police Department.
The driver of the car, the release said, was transported to a hospital here they later died. There were no other occupants in the car.
Independence police have not yet released the driver’s name pending notification of family.
