2 injured when vehicle and motorcycle collide in Kansas City, Kansas

A man and a woman, both in their 50s, were injured when their motorcycle was struck by a vehicle late Thursday in Kansas City, Kansas, police said.

The woman had life-threatening injuries while the man was reported to be in stable condition at a hospital.

Police responded to the crash about 10:15 p.m. in the 3200 block of State Avenue, Officer Dustin Dierenfeldt, a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, police Department said in a release.

The man and woman were headed westbound on State Avenue when a vehicle struck their motorcycle, Dierenfeldt said. Both victims were taken to a hospital.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 20s, remained at the scene of the wreck.

The Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Bureau and Traffic Support Unit is investigating the crash.
