Police: Pedestrian killed walking on I-635 in Kansas City, Kansas, Friday morning
One person died Friday morning after a car struck a pedestrian on Interstate 635 at Parallel Parkway, police said.
Just after 3:30 a.m. police were called to the area, according to a news release issued by the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department Friday morning.
The pedestrian was hit when they walked onto the highway as a car was traveling north, police said a preliminary investigation revealed.
The pedestrian died of their injuries and the driver stayed on scene, police said.
The incident is under investigation. Police have not yet released the name of the pedestrian.
