Two dead, one injured after convertible crashes into building in Kansas City Saturday
Two people are dead and one person is injured after a convertible drove at high speed into a building in Kansas City early Saturday morning.
Police were called to Truman Road and Brooklyn Avenue around 2 a.m. Saturday morning, Kansas City Police Department spokesman Jacob Becchina said in an email.
A witness told police they’d been sitting at a red light facing West on Truman Road when a Blue Ford Mustang convertible and a white car drove by at a high speed, the email said.
The Mustang, the witness told police, lost control, left the road and careened into the building to its left.
The car’s driver and rear passenger were pronounced dead at the scene. A front seat passenger was transported to a hospital with critical injuries, police said.
