Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by car on Missouri 350 in Kansas City

A pedestrian is in serious condition Saturday morning after he was hit by a car on Missouri 350 in Kansas City.

According to Kansas City police the a driver in a Chevrolet Traverse was traveling eastbound when it hit a 33-year-old man just east of Noland Road around 6 a.m. The pedestrian, police said, was either walking on the highway or trying to cross it at the time of the crash.

The pedestrian was brought to an area hospital and listed in serious condition.

The driver, who police said stopped at the scene, was release by officers pending further investigation of the incident.
