Driver who ran stop sign critically injured in Kansas City crash, police say

A driver who failed to stop at a stop sign was critically injured in a crash Monday, Kansas City police said.

The collision was reported just before 4 p.m. at NE 80th and N. Antioch Road.

A blue Toyota that was heading east ran a stop sign and was struck on the driver’s side by a southbound silver Ford SUV.

The driver in the Toyota was transported to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, the Kansas City Police Department said.

The Ford’s driver had minor injuries and remained at the scene.
