More test positive for coronavirus in Johnson County, bringing total to 116
The number of people testing positive for the new coronavirus in Johnson County has increased by eight, bringing the county’s total to at least 116 cases, according to statistics released Monday by local health officials.
The county has reported 1,162 negatives test results, according to the Johnson County Department of Health and Environment. Two people in the county have died from COVID-19.
The breakdown by age stood at 25 cases for those in their 60s, 21 for those in their 50s and 20 for those in their 40s. The next highest total was 15 for those in their 70s followed by 13 for those in their 20s and 11 for those in their 30s.
State officials counted at least 319 people testing positive for the virus across the state. Seven people in Kansas have died from the disease.
