This national retail chain is closing a store in the Kansas City area
An office supply store is closing a location in the Kansas City area.
Office Max, 5830 Antioch Road. in Merriam, has a yellow banner in front of the building that says it’s closing. Merchandise is up to 40% off, according to another sign in the window.
Office Depot and Office Max are both part of a national chain that sell office supplies, furniture, computers and electronics. There are five other locations in the Kansas City area, including near Gladstone, Liberty, Grain Valley, Lee’s Summit, Overland Park and Olathe.
An exact closing date or reason for the closure was not given, and the store did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Johnson County store is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
