Two-vehicle crash in construction zone stalls traffic on I-70 in Blue Springs

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle crash that stalled traffic on Interstate 70 in Blue Springs Wednesday morning.

KC Scout reports the crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday on the on ramp from Adams Dairy Parkway in a construction zone. Troopers with the highway patrol were on scene shortly after.

Two vehicles were involved, but it’s not immediately clear if anyone was hurt.

Traffic was backed up to near Missouri 7 Highway as lanes were closed after the crash, the KC Scout incident shows. The road has since reopened.

The estimated clearance time for the crash, according to KC Scout was just before 8 a.m.
