Another Chick-fil-A location will open in fall in this Kansas City suburb
Another location of Chick-fil-A will open soon in a Kansas City suburb at the site of a former Applebee’s, according to a statement from the fast-food chain.
A spokesperson for the Atlanta-based chain confirmed the new location in Raytown, expected to open this fall at 9330 E. 350 Highway.
“It’s our pleasure to confirm we will be opening our first Chick-fil-A restaurant in Raytown at 9330 E. State Route 350 later this fall, pending any delays,” the statement said. “We look forward to joining the community and serving all of our guests delicious food in an environment of genuine hospitality and care.”
Known for its chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, Chick-fil-A has 19 restaurants — both standalone and university-licensed eateries — located in the Kansas City metro area. A few of those locations have opened in recent years, including a restaurant in Lee’s Summit in February.
Details were sparse about an exact opening date and the Raytown space, though demolition of the Applebee’s is underway, and a pile of rubble at the site was seen Friday.
A statement from Chick-fil-A said the new restaurant would be owned and operated by local business owner Andrew Hartley, who has worked at Chick-fil-A for 12 years, according to LinkedIn.
“As a small business owner, he looks forward to joining this neighborhood and creating approximately 80-120 jobs at the restaurant,” the statement said.
Located along 350 Highway near other fast-food and fast-casual chains, the site used to be an Applebee’s, which closed in 2024 along with seven other area locations of the casual-dining restaurant.
