National clothing chain to open location in Kansas City’s Northland
A national shopping chain is set to be open in Zona Rosa this summer.
Burlington, known for selling coats, clothes, accessories and home goods, is set to open in the old Staples location, 8450 NW Prairie View Road, according to a Zona Rosa news release.
The retail chain began as a coat wholesaler in 1924 in New Jersey, opened its first retail store in 1972, according to Burlington’s website. Now, it has expanded to over 1,000 stores across the country.
“The continued growth and expansion at Zona Rosa reinforces our goal of being the Northland’s go-to destination,” Scott Zigler, general manager at Zona Rosa, said in a release. “We’re excited to welcome a dynamic mix of tenants that reflect what our community is asking for- experiences, entertainment and local businesses all in one place.”
The Zona Rosa location will be the seventh one in the Kansas City area, including Independence, Grandview, Olathe, Overland Park and Shawnee. An exact date for the opening has yet to be announced.
Zona Rosa also recently announced the opening of a Culver’s location at the shopping center. Other tenants at the Northland shopping center include Bo Lings, American Eagle Outfitters, Sephora, Barnes & Noble and more.
