For Pete's Sake

Patrick Mahomes appears to have confirmed Travis Kelce’s return to the Chiefs

Is there a better bromance in the NFL than Chiefs stars Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce?

The Chiefs stars are the best of friends on the field, where they’ve won three Super Bowl championships. And they are buddies and business partners when not in a Chiefs uniform. The 1587 Prime steakhouse is a prime example (pun intended).

While there was chatter Sunday about the potential of Kelce returning for a 14th season but playing for another team, it seemed unfathomable to many that the two would potentially end up on different sidelines.

The NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport squashed that talk with an X message that said that the other 31 NFL teams have been informed that Kelce will be back for a 14th season, but it’ll be with the Chiefs.

Mahomes appeared to confirm that report with an Instagram post that simply had two photos of him and Kelce with two emojis: an alarm clock and a bow and arrow.

The latter emoji is Kelce’s signature celebration move.

As Mahomes continues to work his way back from surgery to repair two damaged ligaments in his knee, he undoubtedly was thrilled that he will likely play another season with Kelce.

Not that Mahomes needed more motivation in his rehab work, but knowing Kelce will be on his sideline again certainly can’t hurt.
