Pizza Tascio — a Kansas City favorite — is opening another location in the metro.

The New York-style pizza shop is eyeing a location in the Northland near Northwest Barry Road and North Stoddard Avenue.

Pending city approvals, the spot hopes to open early December. And gelato could be on the menu.

“It’ll have the most updated look that we have,” said part-owner Eli Lombardino. He and his brothers, Gian and Caleb Lombardino, along with partner Sean Davis, operate the company.

The upcoming restaurant is Pizza Tascio’s seventh. Its other locations include 1111 Burlington St. in North Kansas City and 6705 W. 119th St. in Overland Park.

Its Lawrence location closed last year.

Eli said he’s excited to join the neighborhood near Zona Rosa, adjacent to Minsky’s, Smokehouse Barbecue, Red Robin and more.

“The area is great,” he said. “It’s growing and everyone is super nice out here.”

Pizza Tascio first opened in St. Joseph in 2021 by its original owner, Erik Borger, who also founded Neapolitan-style pizza joint Il Lazzarone. Its North Kansas City spot, the first in the metro, came in 2022.

The Lombardino brothers have been running Pizza Tascio since November 2023.

“It’s been a great run so far,” Eli said.

Some items on Pizza Tascio’s menu: Red Tascio (18-inch Dinapoli Sauce pie with mozzarella, ricotta, cup pepperoni, fresh basil, and a drizzle of Mike’s Hot Honey for $29) and White Tascio (18-inch white pie combining whole milk mozzarella, ricotta, Paradise Locker Italian Sausage, broccoli, and roasted garlic olive oil for $29).
