Taco Naco is expanding again.

The counter-service taqueria will open its third Kansas City area location later this year at 7715 State Line Road. The space was most recently a WingStand, which closed at the end of 2023.

“Our State Line location will be more of a catering hub and digital kitchen for pick-up or third-party delivery,” said Brian Goldman Ruiz, who owns Taco Naco with his wife, Fernanda Reyes.

“It will have a smaller seating capacity and a significantly larger kitchen footprint to sustain large-party catering orders and double our capacity for private parties, weddings, office luncheons and conferences.”

He said the location will have about a dozen seats for “quick bite-and-go customers.”

They’re aiming for an August opening and currently hiring for all positions.

Goldman Ruiz and Reyes launched Taco Naco in 2019 as a catering company, later holding pop-ups at the Overland Park Farmers’ Market. They opened their first restaurant in 2021 at 8220 Metcalf Ave. in Overland Park and followed it up with a second location last year in Westport, at 4144 Pennsylvania Ave.
