Country Club Plaza pop-up Jill Marie Boutique will be closing “per the center’s request to fill a long-term lease,” the owner said.

The 2,200-square-foot location, at 425 Nichols Road, opened in December and planned to stay through May. But it will now close on April 6.

A Plaza spokeswoman said they have signed a lease for the space but did not disclose the tenant.

Jill Marie Boutique plans a special event Saturday with other vendors and discounts on select Jill Marie merchandise.

There also is a Jill Marie Boutique in the Northland’s Zona Rosa that opened in May 2021.

Owner Sydni Russell, fiancee of Kansas City Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu, offers T-shirts with local slogans and game day gear, along with a line for infants and toddlers. The Jill Marie brand also can be found in the Made in KC Marketplace stores on the Plaza and in Lenexa, as well as Scheels in Overland Park.

Russell is looking for another storefront for the baby and toddler line.
