Where to find Christmas Eve, Christmas Day meals around Kansas City, dine-in or to-go
Kansas City area restaurants are stepping up to help you celebrate Christmas with special dine-in, to-go and meal kit options.
Customers, please check with the restaurants to make sure the details haven’t changed. Restaurants, to add to the list, email the information in the following format to jsmith@kcstar.com under the subject Christmas dinner 2021.
▪ Affare restaurant, Crossroads, 1911 Main St. Prix fixe menu includes a choice of three entrees for dining in: prime rib, Lebkuchen spice duck breast or baked sturgeon.
When: 4 p.m. to close Friday, and 1 to 7 p.m. Christmas Day.
Cost: $96 per person.
The regular menu also will be available on Christmas Eve.
▪ Chaz on the Plaza, Country Club Plaza area, 325 Ward Parkway. Five-course Christmas menu available for dine-in. Includes a choice of entrees: prime rib, hickory smoked salmon, honey Dijon glazed ham or Chilean sea bass. Reservations are required.
When: 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Christmas Day.
Cost: $60 per person; $25 for children ages 12 and under.
▪ The French Market, The Shops of Prairie Village, 6943 Tomahawk Road, Prairie Village. To-go Christmas menu includes roasted Amish chicken breast ($32) and braised beef short rib ($32) with sides. It also has desserts including a cookie decorating kit ($30).
▪ Kona Grill, Country Club Plaza, 444 Ward Parkway. Filet with lobster cream ($40), honey glazed ham ($34), prime rib ($36), macadamia nut turkey ($34), Surf & Turf ($41), brunch items and more for dine-in or takeout.
When: From 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
▪ Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar, West Plaza, 4814 Roanoke Parkway. Feast of the Seven Fishes includes striped bass en papillote, clams and white beans, and panna cotta, dine-in only.
When: 5 to 9 p.m. Christmas Eve.
Cost: $85 per person.
Other Christmas meal options
Select Applebee’s restaurants will be open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, but hours may be reduced. Please contact your local Applebee’s for specific information on holiday hours: www.applebees.com/locations.
Select IHOP restaurants also will be open on Christmas this year, but customers should check with their local IHOP, as hours will vary by location.
