Kansas City area health code violations: RJ’s Bob-Be-Que, Bawarchi Biryanis, more

Here are area restaurants with seven or more priority or critical health code violations, with highlighted links to some original public record reports by city or county health inspectors.

Restaurants correct most violations at the time of the original inspection or shortly thereafter. Links to the follow-up inspections show how each establishment has corrected or is working to correct any remaining violations.

The Kansas Department of Agriculture cited these operations for seven or more priority health code violations (direct links are not available).

Bawarchi Biryanis, 7284 W. 121st St., Overland Park, had 13 priority violations during a June 16 inspection following a complaint.

RJ’s Bob-Be-Que Shack, 5835 Lamar Ave., Mission, had 13 priority violations during a June 16 routine inspection.

Village Inn, 5800 Broadmoor St., Mission, had 11 priority violations during a June 17 routine inspection.

Milburn Country Club, main kitchen, 7501 W. 69th St., Overland Park, had eight priority violations during a June 16 routine inspection.

.Jazz, a Louisiana Kitchen, 1859 Village West Parkway, Suite 102, Kansas City, Kansas, had seven priority violations during a June 16 routine inspection.

Le Peep, 7936 Quivira Road, Lenexa, had seven priority violations during a June 16 routine inspection.

Red Kitchen Tamales, Lenexa Public Market, 8750 Penrose Lane, Lenexa, had seven priority violations during a June 15 routine inspection.

La Fonda El Taquito, 800 Southwest Blvd., had seven critical violations during a June 17 preoperational inspection.
