Dick’s Sporting Goods bringing its new ‘deep discount’ store to Johnson County

Pennsylvania-based Dick’s Sporting Goods has a new off-price concept that is coming to the Kansas City market.

Going, Going, Gone will open at 11750 S. Strang Line Road, Olathe. The stores offer deep discounts on footwear and apparel from the same brands that Dick’s Sporting Goods carries.

Best Buy had formerly occupied the 48,000-square-foot building, then Dick’s opened a warehouse store in the spot last fall. The warehouse will transition to the new concept this summer, according to a spokeswoman for Dick’s Sporting Goods. She declined to comment further.

David Block, Alex Block and Max Kosoglad of Block & Co. Inc. Realtors handled the long-term lease for the landlord. Jeff Berg of Elevate Property Advisors represented the tenant.

Going, Going, Gone stores also recently opened in Avon, Indiana, and Monroeville, Pennsylvania.
