2 Kansas City restaurants, 1 store temporarily shut down for health code violations
The Kansas City Health Department temporarily suspended the licenses of three operations for health code violations:
▪ Family Dollar, 7500 Prospect Ave., after a June 11 inspection following a complaint. It was cited for a “major loss of refrigeration.”
In a statement, a Family Dollar spokeswoman said: “Please know the safety of our associates and customers is a top priority, and we take situations like this seriously. The store is temporarily closed and we are working diligently with our contractors to completely resolve the issue.”
▪ Jamdown Kitchen, 6836 Prospect Ave., after a June 2 inspection. According to the department, the restaurant was cited for “denial of access of the regulatory authorities to the establishment.”
Restaurant officials did not return phone calls seeking comment.
▪ Queen Priscilla’s bistro, 809 W. 39th St., Suite 110, after a June 7 inspection. It was cited for “no activity on permit for more than 30 days.”
One of the partners said he is selling his share so the restaurant is closed during the transition.
